A Sarah é uma enfermeira numa maternidade pública. O hospital está num tumulto com mulheres grávidas em diferentes etapas da gestação. Tem pouco pessoal e por isso Sarah é obrigada a fazer um turno duplo. Observando as mulheres que entram e saem da sua enfermaria, ela nota bem quem vai dar à luz pela primeira vez e quem é veterana. As enfermarias estão esgotadas. Duas mulheres e os seus bébés partilham uma cama pequena enquanto as que já estão em trabalho de parto ficam nos corredores. Sarah aceita tudo naturalmente já que o seu coração e mente estão nos seus problemas pessoais. Este é a primeira longa-metragem de Eduardo Roy que faleceu recentemente. Foi a vencedora do Deauville Asian Film Festival, venceu ainda o Prémio de Novo Realizador no Las Palmas Film Festival e teve uma Menção Honrosa no Vancouver International film Festival. Eduardo Roy Jr foi o realizador de “Lola Igna” (2019) e “Pamylia Ordinario” (2016), ambos exibidos no Fantasporto.
A woman living in a barge is tormented by Fear itself. Film with several awards, namely Best Horror Short in the Tokyo festival. Its director is working in UK and Hollywood and participated in the special effects of films such as “Star Wars- The Force Awakens”, “Interstellar” and “The Dark Knight”.
Sarah is a nurse at a public Maternity Hospital. The hospital is in a frenzy, with pregnant women in different stages of labour. It is short on staff, so Sarah is forced to put a double shift. Observing the women coming and going in her ward, she notices who is a first timer or a veteran. Meanwhile, the wards are overcrowded. Two women and their babies share single beds while those in labour are spilling unto the hallways. Sarah takes all this in stride, her heart and mind more on her own personal pains. his is the first feature by Eduardo Roy who died recently. This film was the winner at the Deauville Asian Film Festival, the winner of the First Time Director Award at the Las Palmas Film Festival, the winner of a special mention at the Vancouver International film Festival. Eduardo Roy Jr was also the director of “Lola Igna” (2019) and “Pamylia Ordinario” (2016), both screened in Fantasporto.
